February 12 - Board Meeting

February 21 - Internet Security and Economic I.T. Forecast at Wests. Trend Micro conducted the Internet Security session.

April 8 - Board Meeting

April 30- 5.30-7.00pm. Information session - Sydney Junction Hotel, 8 Beaumont St Hamilton - Preparing your Business for the Future - an insite given by Microsoft.

Special guest Tim Shaw from Microsoft Business Solutions. Tim presented "The Next Wave - a user interface experience.

The user interface experience is set to change radically from 2009 on. New technologies, new opportunities and most relevant for HunterTech members - more realistic TCO's for small to medium businesses as traditional high end solutions come down market.

June 16 - ICT in the Stadium is an annual HunterTech event sponsored by Telstra Country Wide.

At this event TCW presented Hugh Bradlow, Chief Technology Officer of Telstra Country Wide. Hugh discussed trends in consumer and business technologies.

The TCW annual event draws a large range of the Hunter's business to this extremely informative event.

June 10 - Board meeting

July 15 - Members' meeting - hosted by Sheather & Merrigan, 46 The Avenue, Wickham.  

Mr Phil Merrigan, Managing Director of Cannon's premium dealer, is a proud supporter of HunterTech. Together with Newcastle growth firm NOSIT, Sheather & Merrigan provides HunterTech members and their friends with a technology update each year. 
 

August 12 - Board Meeting

November 11 - Annual General Meeting Meeting; 5.00 pm. The AGM will be held at the office of Moray & Agnew, Auckland St NEWCASTLE. All financial members are welcome to attend.

November 24 - Last meeting for 2008. An end of year debriefing will be held at the Mattara Hotel at Charlestown on Monday 24th from 5.30 - 8.00 pm.
